I am worried by the scenario that is being played out. Look at the price of oil and the stock market tomorrow morning. It is going to take more than just being a statesman. My scenario based on the following events be played out world wide. Demonstration in New Delhi India against the corruption of the present government. The have nots v the haves. Demonstrations in Khartoum Sudan by the have nots v the haves. We are seeing before our eyes how economic disparity causes revolts against the government that protect and sponsor the haves brought on by economic crisis.
That is how Hitler took over Germany in 1933 that led to WWII. We may have a similar situation in America. The T Party movement was grass roots of main street against the Banksters. The banksters, via the Citizens United case, buy our government on both sides of the aisle. Congress is bought and paid for. Obama is being seen as a puppet of Wall St. The GOP want to cut our budget to the bone which will create a greater disparity between the rich and poor of our country. The UK and the rest of the Euro zone are doing the same thing. Demonstrations have broken out in the Euro zone in Greece and Ireland due to the austerity programs which enrich the rich and drive the poor further into poverty.
When I was in Egypt and Cairo just 3 years ago I saw people living in the cemeteries. I saw civil unrest in its prefatory stage. I saw nothing in Tunisia and I travelled throughout the country viewing the people and the wealthy resorts south east of Tunis. It looked like Southern Florida with its opulence. When I was in Jordan I saw opulence in Amman and poverty throughout. Another monarchy in danger.
Through technology, crisis spreads like wild fire throughout the world. Remember how economic world crisis in the 1930s sponsored unrest and revolt against governments which were prefatory to WWII. We had civil unrest in America. FDR fought on the side of unions and labor against the very rich and saved capitalism in America. We could have gone to communism very quickly. He put people to work and that took deficit spending a la Keynes. Adam Smith spawns revolts while Keynes calms the poor down. That is the cause of civil discourse in America today. Scalia legitimized guns by his misread of the prefatory clause of the 2nd amendment. Roberts legitimized the buying of politicians with Citizens United. Money or lack thereof is the root of evil and civil unrest and war. Haaretz, a labor party newspaper in Tel Aviv is now stating that Obama has lost Egypt and Turkey and Carter lost Iran. Israel has a divided government and a divided government cannot negotiate peace.
The same is true in America and the UK and France and Germany. They are all coalition governments.
My worry is America right now as civil unrest spreads like wildfire due to disparity between the top 1 % and the rest of the people. China has now sponsored a class system which was put down by Mao. There is wide spread corruption in China. Now that the poor have tasted the fruits of wealth the Chinese Government have to keep the people employed to maintain their government. China holds most of our debt. to survive they must sell their products to the US so we can pay the interest on the debt. The GOP has poo pooed energy independence. We have gone back to selling Cadillacs and SUVs in our country. Our country makes nothing. Only capital makes money by making nothing but money off the poor.
That is my scenario. My lecture for the day. History repeats itself because people don't remember history. I hope I am not Dr. Doom today. Obama has a world wide crisis in his hands based on economics. Can he handle it or is he bought and paid for by the establishment? He is an elitist, but so was FDR.
